Privacy Policy — Fate Finger

Effective date: 22 February 2026

App name: Fate Finger

Publisher: Liam McEvoy (“we”, “us”, “our”)

Contact: support@fatefinger.com

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use Fate Finger (the “App”).

1) What Fate Finger is

Fate Finger is a party game app that helps groups play dares, prompts, and themes. The App is designed to work without requiring you to create an account.

2) Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: (a) information you provide, (b) information collected automatically, and (c) information from third parties.

A. Information you provide

Depending on how you use the App, you may provide:

Custom content you enter (e.g., custom dares, names, notes, theme selections).

Support messages (if you email us), which may include contact details and the content of your message.

Note: Fate Finger does not require you to provide real names or personal details to play. If you choose to enter personal information into custom text fields, you are choosing to share that information with the App.

B. Information collected automatically

When you use the App, we (and our service providers) may automatically collect:

Device and app info: device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, and basic identifiers.

Usage data: screens viewed, taps, session duration, feature usage, and performance metrics.

Crash and diagnostic data: error logs and crash reports.

C. Purchases and subscription-related information

If you make an in-app purchase or subscribe:

Purchases are processed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android). We do not receive your full payment details (like your credit card number).

We may receive purchase status and entitlement information (e.g., whether premium/lifetime is active), typically via our purchase/entitlement provider (e.g., RevenueCat) to enable premium features.

D. Advertising (if you use ads)

If we show ads now or in the future, we (and advertising partners) may collect:

Advertising identifiers (like IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android) and ad interaction data, subject to your device settings and consent choices where required.

If Fate Finger does not currently show ads, you can keep this section but note “We do not currently serve third-party ads.”

3) What we don’t collect

We do not intentionally collect phone contacts, photos, camera roll, microphone recordings, or precise GPS location, unless a future feature clearly requires it and we ask for permission in-app.

We do not sell your personal information.

4) How we use information

We use information to:

Provide and operate the App (e.g., show content, remember settings, enable premium features).

Improve the App (analytics, debugging, crash fixes, performance improvements).

Customer support (respond to requests, troubleshoot issues).

Security and fraud prevention (protect the App, detect abuse).

Compliance (meet legal requirements and enforce our terms).

5) Legal bases (where applicable)

If you are in a region that requires a legal basis (e.g., EEA/UK), we process data based on:

Contract (providing the App and premium features),

Legitimate interests (improving, securing, and supporting the App),

Consent (where required for things like certain analytics, ads, or tracking permissions),

Legal obligation (compliance with law).

6) How we share information

We may share information only as described below:

A. Service providers (processors)

We use trusted providers to help run the App, such as:

App analytics (e.g., to understand usage),

Crash reporting (e.g., to fix bugs),

Purchase/entitlement management (e.g., RevenueCat),

Paywall/checkout UI providers (if used),

Cloud hosting (if used).

These providers are permitted to process information only to perform services for us.

B. App stores and platform providers

Apple and Google process purchases and may collect data as described in their own privacy policies.

C. Legal and safety

We may disclose information if we believe it’s reasonably necessary to:

comply with law, regulation, or legal process,

enforce our rights or policies,

investigate fraud or security issues,

protect users, the public, or our services.

D. Business transfers

If we’re involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

7) Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described:

Diagnostics/analytics are typically retained for a limited period set by our providers (or by us).

Support communications may be retained to resolve issues and for record-keeping.

If you request deletion (where applicable), we’ll take reasonable steps to delete data associated with you, unless we must keep it for legal reasons.

8) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

9) Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

access, correct, or delete personal information,

object to or restrict certain processing,

withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent),

opt out of certain tracking/ads (where applicable).

How to exercise rights: Contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL].

You can also manage permissions in your device settings (e.g., tracking permissions, advertising preferences).

10) Children’s privacy

Fate Finger is not intended for children under 13 (or a higher age where required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL], and we will take steps to delete it.

11) International data transfers

If you use the App from outside the country where our servers/providers are located, your information may be processed in other countries. We take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place when required by law.

12) Australia-specific note

If you are in Australia, we aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), where applicable. You can contact us to access or correct personal information.

13) Third-party links

The App may include links to third-party sites or services (e.g., support pages). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not ours.

14) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Effective date” and may provide additional notice in the App or on our website.
